Senior Data Engineer


Location: Fully Remote (London Based Company)


Salary: to £95,000 + Benefits


Key Skills:


• Experience designing and building high throughput, scalable, resilient and secure data pipelines. • Experience with the followingAWS technologies: Glue jobs, Athena, S3, Step functions, Lambda, RDS (Aurora Postgres), DMS, Redshift, QuickSight, Kenesis Firehose.

• Expert knowledge ofSQL.

• Hands on experience with Kafka.

• Hands on experience with Terraform.

• Hands on experience ofPythonwith a Data Analytics programming paradigm.

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

• Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills.


Good to have:

• Experience with design and implementation of integration solutions for event/data streaming.

• Experience working with Apache Superset.

• Start-up experience.

• Exposure to Payments domain – ideally sanctions screening.


Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the design, development and enhancement of our data pipelines to support use cases such as reporting, data extraction/export etc.

• Own the delivery of your code from design all the way to production.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers to develop the platform.

• Collaborate with the Product team to provide expert Data Engineering advice and recommendations.

• Collaborate across the wider Technology teams (Architecture, Security) to ensure code adheres to the architecture designs and security standards (i.e. vulnerabilities).

• Ensure code always meets the required engineering standards.

• Support the Engineering Lead driving the strategic direction of the Software Engineering department.

• Support and mentor Data Engineering colleagues.
