Job Description
Are you interested in being a key contributor in enabling our LEGO Retail organisation to understand its shoppers deeply and expand data transparency to drive data driven decisions that always put the shopper first? Bring your understanding of data platforms together with your retail/ecommerce knowledge and natural curiosity into play in this role to be part of a pioneering data and analytics team bringing digital transformation to life in our commercial areas!
This role does not include a relocation budget and can be based in either our Billund campus or London hub.
Core Responsibilities

Transform, cleanse and enrich data relating to LEGO Retail e-Commerce, designing and developing self-serve gold layers for use across e-Commerce, the broader A&I organisation, LEGO Retail teams & other data consumers (ie personalisation, digital consumer engagement).

Develop self-serve dashboards regarding .com metrics, and, in partnership with LEGO Retail Commercial Anlaytics, establish the use of these tools within LEGO Retail and with broader Commercial colleagues to drive data driven decision making.

Collaborate with analytical colleagues, specifically Trading Optimisation, Data Science and LEGO Retail Commercial Analytics to continually iterate and enrich data products to suit business needs & improve overall data availability for the business.

Partner with E2E LEGO.com Operations digital product teams to ensure high quality data is collected and published to LEGO Nexus (databricks) to a standard fit for purpose for downstream delivery of data products.

Enable LEGO Retail specific data understanding and champion data literacy via guidelines, training, drop-in sessions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Partner with the Data Office to ensure platforms, tools & processes meet business needs; acting as inputters, collaborators, testers and/or ambassadors.

Consistently champion best practices in data product development within A&I, across LEGO Retail and with the broader analytics community, helping ensure data integrity, -quality, and -scalability of overall LEGO Retail data products on the LEGO Data Platform.

Analytics & Insights Enablement’s key focus is to enable self-service data products for LEGO Retail analysts, data consumers and decision makers; helping shape data-driven actions both for operational optimisation purposes and tactical and strategical decision recommendations. What sets this team apart is the strong data engineering skills paired with the closeness to the business and the analytical stakeholders, meaning products are designed and developed with clear purpose.
The key stakeholders of this role will be analysts & strategic decision makers, initially heavily focused in e-Commerce but have potential to expand to be multifunctional in areas such as Marketing, Finance, Operations etc. Additionally this role will be expected to collaborate heavily with Data Producers in Digital Product Teams and colleagues in the Data Office to ensure longer-term strategy for data supporting opportunities within the e-Commerce space.
This role is essential as we further invest in our digitization agenda, and our new data strategy, including scaling the LEGO Data Platform to unlock the value from data across the LEGO Group. In order to become truly data-driven, our first party retail and direct to consumer activity is the cornerstone to everything we do. This role will help both enrich our current data landscape and bring new data variables to life, but also enable important data development projects around the business to use LEGO Retail data that will both increase accuracy in the models and speed up insights to action.

takes?

You have a relevant degree (e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Analytics) or relevant experience in Data Engineering or Data Solutions in eCommerce platforms. You're confident working with large datasets using SQL and/or Python, and experienced in building robust ETL pipelines to support eCommerce operations.
You understand how data flows across digital platforms and can turn raw behavioural or transactional data into actionable insights. Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualisation tools is expected, along with experience working in fast-paced, consumer-facing environments.
You're able to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical teams, work independently, and collaborate effectively. You take initiatives and bring a curious, solution-driven mindset.
Fluent in English and open to light travel (up to 10 days/year).
Nice to have:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Databricks, and Databricks Asset Bundles is beneficial. You’re comfortable working in cross-cultural environments and collaborating with global teams across time zones. A good understanding of consumer retail or direct-to-consumer e-commerce is valuable, along with basic knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualisation tools. Familiarity with Agile ways of working is also a plus.
