Overview

A leading organisation in the industrial services sector is seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to support and develop cutting-edge data solutions. This role focuses on data integration, modelling, transformation, and master data management, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft and Azure technologies. The company operates in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes to deliver data-driven insights across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support scalable data solutions that integrate multiple systems and sources.

Implement and manage master data solutions using modern integration techniques.

Transform raw data into trusted, curated datasets for enterprise reporting.

Lead data projects, mentor team members, and contribute to data architecture evolution.

Evaluate and improve business processes by designing effective data solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to deliver interfaces and resolve integration issues.

Address data quality, integrity, and consistency challenges, particularly with legacy systems.

Ensure compliance with data governance standards and maintain clear documentation.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in a Data Engineer role.

Expertise in Microsoft and Azure technologies: SQL Server, ADF, Logic Apps, Data Lake, Power Query, Fabric, Function Apps, Power Automate, Spark, Databricks, SSIS.

Strong understanding of data modelling techniques including Normalisation and Kimball methodologies.

Proficient in SQL, and experience with programming languages such as Python or C#.

Familiarity with low-code platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Nintex).

Experience or knowledge of DBA functions, performance tuning, and system administration is desirable.

Relevant qualifications in data analytics or related disciplines.
