This role is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomous roles, loves building clean, scalable solutions, and wants to help a purpose-driven organisation get the most from its data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
  • Manage structured and semi-structured data across Azure SQL, SQL Server, and cloud-based data lakes.
  • Develop intuitive, impactful Power BI dashboards that support both operational and strategic needs.
  • Maintain legacy SSRS reports and ensure continuity of service where needed.
  • Lead development of Etio’s data strategy, architecture standards, and reporting roadmap.
  • Act as the go-to technical expert for all things data - managing priorities, delivery, and improvements autonomously.
  • Support data quality, governance, and security across our platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with programme teams, business leads, and external contractors to ensure reliable delivery and scalable solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to users interpreting and acting on data insights.

What You’ll bring:

  • Advanced skills in Power BI (including data modelling and DAX) and SQL (development and optimisation).
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end data and reporting solutions in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with Azure SQL, ADF, SSIS, and managing structured/unstructured data within cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data lakes and scalable data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, documentation, and metadata best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver with speed and impact.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - able to bridge technical and business worlds.
  • A strategic mindset and a passion for innovation in data delivery.

Qualifications(We're interested in anyone who meets all of the following):

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience working with Power BI, Azure SQL, ADF, SSIS, and SQL Server.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Gen2, or enterprise BI platforms
