Role purpose
You will be instrumental in designing and building scalable data infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling to support advanced analytics, real-time data applications, and regulatory compliance.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines and ETL processes from various structured and unstructured data sources
Leverage data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights from large-scale datasets, including customer transactions, behavioural data, and third-party data providers
Develop and optimise data models for analytics and business intelligence applications
Integrate and manage open banking APIs and datasets (e.g. PSD2, Open Banking UK, CDR Australia), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Implement and enforce data governance, privacy, and security standards
Evaluate new data technologies and tools to support continuous improvement and innovation in data engineering practices
Skills and experience
To help you do all this, you will need:
8+ years of experience indata engineering, with a strong focus on data mining and big data processing
in data engineering, with a strong focus on data mining and big data processing
Strong knowledge of open banking frameworks, protocols, and APIs (e.g. Open Banking UK, PSD2)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
Experience with cloud data platforms such as GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse)
Expert in SQL, MongoDB and distributed data systems such as Spark, Databricks or Kafka
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g. Snowflake)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Strong understanding of data privacy, data sharing regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and API security
Experience in C#
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
