Job Description

If you are passionate about data and eager to tackle some of the most existing data analytics use cases in the fashion retail industry, COS is the place for you!

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Marketing) to join COS marketing analytics team within COS AI, analytics and data (aiad) function. In this role you will be responsible for driving marketing data analysis use cases such as personalizing customer experience, enhancing customer segmentation, campaign performance, advanced attribution analyses to optimize marketing spend across channels, and predicting future trends. This is a heavily analytical role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, marketing and business impact.

As senior data analyst within COS aiad, you will also work with various business function within COS from customer, marketing, sales, commercial, merchandizing, product, supply chain, sustainability, finance and beyond driving data-driven decision making. You will be responsible for identifying strategic challenges, conducting in-depth analysis and collaborating with stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights that support business objectives.
What you will do:

  • Proactively identify strategic challenges where decision support anchored in data is needed.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making within your initiative/product team by transforming data into insights and providing clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Conduct advanced attribution analysis (e.g., MMM) to assess media effectiveness and enhance the marketing measurement framework.
  • Gather and validate multi-source data to ensure model accuracy, generate ROI-focused insights, and deliver clear, actionable reports and dashboards to key stakeholders across marketing teams.
  • Apply advanced analytics methods and tools to model, execute, and follow up on initiatives from idea to industrialization.
  • Manage the full analysis process, from problem and scope definition to data extraction, cleaning, analysis, visualization, creating recommendations, and presenting results.
  • Turn business challenges into structured data analyses. Define and set up measurable KPIs and OKRs, and maintain their visualization for value reporting.
  • Serve as the data analytics expert in cross-functional teams, collaborating with business stakeholders to solve business challenges using data analytics.
  • Address a broad variety of business challenges with a wide range of business stakeholders (customer, sales, marketing, merchandising, finance, etc.).
  • Participate in the wider analytics community, both within COS and the H&M Group.

What you need to succeed:

  • Extensive years of experience as a marketing analyst, data analyst, product/business analyst, or in digital advertising measurements.
  • Familiarity with experimentation, incrementality testing, digital media attribution, and media mix modeling.
  • Knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Understanding of digital media platforms and attribution, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.
  • Familiarity with privacy-first innovations for measurement systems.
  • Strong business sense and interest, with the ability to make sound interpretations of data and other information.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate and explain complex data analysis to non-technical and/or senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on skills with Microsoft Excel functions such as Power Pivot, Power Query, Tabular Editor, DAX, etc. Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker Studio to visualize and share big data.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries to extract, prepare, validate, and analyze large data sets. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R to extract and transform large datasets.
  • Experience working within cloud environments, such as Azure (Azure SQL Server) or GCP (BigQuery).
  • Collaborative and open-minded, enjoying working with others to solve problems.
