Turn data into clarity, trust and accountability - for a community that deserves nothing less.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll use your skills to make sure every number tells a story, every report supports better decisions, and every insight helps move us forward with honesty and care.

Working Style:

In this full time role you'll be based in the Borough three days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.

What you'll be doing:

In this role, you'll help monitor and evaluate the support provided to those affected by the Grenfell tragedy. You'll work with both quantitative and qualitative data to build clear, meaningful reports that speak to a wide range of audiences - from internal teams and partners, to resident steering groups and the Independent Scrutiny Function.

Using Power BI, you'll design and develop reporting tools that go beyond the numbers - giving visibility to progress, identifying where we can do better and helping others understand the impact of our work. You'll also lead projects to improve data quality, respond to Freedom of Information requests and contribute to our annual impact evaluation.

Your work won't sit in the background. It will help shape how support is delivered, how decisions are made and how we stay accountable to the people at the heart of this journey.

For further details, please review theJob Description and Person Specification

What you'll bring

You'll bring advanced analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and experience turning complex data into insights that drive action. You know how to design dashboards and reports that speak clearly to different audiences - and how to work sensitively in environments where accuracy, tone and transparency really matter.

You'll be confident working independently, solving problems creatively and using data to support change - even when information is incomplete or evolving. You'll also bring a strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality, especially in contexts involving trauma and public scrutiny.

Above all, you'll bring care and commitment to your work - and a belief in the power of data to do good.

Why join us

At RBKC, we're all in - investing in our people, our communities and our future. This 12-month maternity cover role sits within a team that is compassionate, collaborative and focused on meaningful progress.

You'll be supported to develop your skills, access training and grow your impact - all while contributing to one of the Council's most important priorities: learning from Grenfell and placing those lessons at the heart of everything we do.

The work is complex. The expectations are high. But so is the value of what you'll help us achieve.

About us

Kensington and Chelsea is home to diverse communities, thriving businesses and unique local places. Everything we do is focused on supporting our residents, strengthening our approach and creating a fairer borough.

As a competent and caring Council, we take pride in our work every day, ensuring our services are delivered with care and competence. We listen to our residents, act with integrity and work together to build a borough that is greener, safer and fairer for all.

This role is a clear example of what "we're all in" really means. You'll work with purpose, getting stuck into the detail of the data while never losing sight of the bigger picture. Your insights will guide decisions, shape conversations and help ensure we remain accountable to the communities we serve - not just in words, but in measurable, visible outcomes.

Interview Details:

4th July 2025

The interview will consist of a formal interview with the panel followed by an excel exercise.

Ready to join us?

We're all in - are you? If you share our values and have the skills to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
