What are we looking for?
We are seeking aproactive and experienced individualto join our growing Analytics function. The successful candidate will be responsible forleveraging external dataeffectively in collections strategies across our group companies. This is a wide role withlarge scope for impact: we are a data driven business and take data from a wide range of suppliers.
You will be equally comfortabledesigning and building data pipelinesas you areassessing ROIof multiple suppliers andoptimising commercial models. You will ensure that the business hascontrol and oversight of the datawe ingest and use as well asproactively identifying opportunitiesand workingcross-functionallyto enhance how we use the data.
šSo, what will your day-to-day look like?
You will work as part of theAnalytics team,reporting into the Head of Analytics and supporting across several areas including but not limited to:
- Analysis and Insight:Lead your own and the teamās analysis into the effectiveness of current external data. Identify and effectively communicate the opportunities to improve.
- Data Engineering:Collaborate with our Data and MI Teams to automate and scale mature processes, as well as quickly build new pipelines for trials
- Collections Strategy: Propose customer-centric and cost-effective strategies, using a combination of experience and deep data insight. Work cross-functionally to refine, gain buy-in and deploy these strategies.
- Scoring and segmentation: Build customer segmentation, leveraging and influencing the output of our Decision Science team. Comfortable optimising for commercial and customer outcomes and building testing frameworks.
- MI and Reporting: Use SQL and Power BI to build your own reports, guiding strategic decision making. Comfortable working with stakeholder to refine requirements and independently to leverage our own insight.
- Team Development: Play an active part in your and team-member development by sharing experience and cross skilling across technologies, processes and business areas.
- Change Management:Support the Head of Analytics in prioritising and planning for large change work, building relationships with technical and delivery teams.
- Governance:Preparing and delivering input into monthly governance meetings around strategy performance, sharing the impact of your work up to Exec level.
- Client Facing:Support the Head of Analytics in communicating our Analytics proposition and strategy performance to new and existing clients
šDoes this sound like you?
- Minimum of3 yearsā experiencein a similar role within thedebt purchase, recovery, or financial servicesindustry.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (SQL + visualising toole.g. PowerBI, Looker etc.) with the ability to drive insight from complex and disparate datasets
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skillswith the ability to distil complex concepts intoclear recommendationsandinfluence actionat all levels.
- Ability tomanage multiple projectssimultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- High level ofattention to detail, ensuring accuracy in your work and helping junior colleagues do the same.
- Ability toidentify and resolve issuesswiftly and professionally, ensuringminimal disruptionto operations.
- Ability tocollaborate effectivelywith internal stakeholders, including operations, legal, and compliance teams.
- Goodunderstanding of operational processesin a Financial Services or similar environment e.g. automated dialling, capacity planning, complaints handling etc.
- Experience with working in the debt purchase and recovery sector, specifically with building and enhancing collections strategy processes through quantitative insight (desirable).
- Leading workstreams that touch multiple stakeholders and effectively managing those relationships (desirable).
