Base pay range

We're looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our Insight and Analytics Department. The mission of the Insight & Analytics Department is to generate evidence to support policy and decision making by applying statistical methods to HCPC data. In this new role you will play an important part in the continuing development of a good data culture in HCPC and help it to make the best use of the data it collects. You will be collaborating with other HCPC departments to improve data quality, standardise reporting datasets and develop shared approaches to analysis. Through this role you will be continuously developing your skills and experience.


As the Senior Data Analyst Business Partner you will provide analytical support to both the Data Governance Lead and to key regulatory departments. You will need to be able to understand and document business rules and be able to translate those into usable analytical products in PowerBI and as stand‑alone documents.


Main Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Data Governance Lead, develop reports, profiles and monitoring tools relating to data quality issues.
  • Assist the Data Governance Lead in the conduct of data quality reviews and in other aspects of promoting data quality across the organisation.
  • Work in an embedded fashion within key regulatory departments, including Fitness to Practice, to define and capture key reporting needs, and to develop reports and reporting tools that meet those needs.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to the embedded regulatory departments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Well‑developed analytical skills, including in the use of PowerBI
  • Experience of producing reports of activity and of data quality
  • Experience of working with regulatory data
  • Preferably experience of using data governance tools (such as Purview)
