Senior Data Analyst - Governance

Turn data into clarity, trust and accountability - for a community that deserves nothing less.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll use your skills to make sure every number tells a story, every report supports better decisions, and every insight helps move us forward with honesty and care.
Working Style: In this full-time role, you'll be based in the Borough three days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.
What you'll be doing: In this role, you'll help monitor and evaluate the support provided to those affected by the Grenfell tragedy. You'll work with both quantitative and qualitative data to build clear, meaningful reports that speak to a wide range of audiences - from internal teams and partners, to resident steering groups and the Independent Scrutiny Function.
Using Power BI, you'll design and develop reporting tools that go beyond the numbers - giving visibility to progress, identifying where we can do better, and helping others understand the impact of our work. You'll also lead projects to improve data quality, respond to Freedom of Information requests, and contribute to our annual impact evaluation.
Your work will directly influence how support is delivered, how decisions are made, and how we remain accountable to the community.
For further details, please review the Job Description and Person Specification.
What you'll bring: You'll bring advanced analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with experience turning complex data into insights that drive action. You know how to design dashboards and reports that communicate clearly to different audiences, and work sensitively in environments where accuracy, tone, and transparency are crucial.
You're confident working independently, solving problems creatively, and using data to support change—even with incomplete or evolving information. You also understand data protection and confidentiality, especially in contexts involving trauma and public scrutiny.
Above all, you'll bring care and commitment to your work, believing in the power of data to do good.
Why join us: At RBKC, we're invested in our people, communities, and future. This 12-month maternity cover role is within a compassionate, collaborative team focused on meaningful progress.
You'll be supported to develop your skills, access training, and grow your impact—while contributing to one of the Council's top priorities: learning from Grenfell and embedding those lessons into our work.
The work is complex, expectations are high, but so is the value of what you'll help us achieve.
About us: Kensington and Chelsea is home to diverse communities, thriving businesses, and unique places. Our focus is on supporting residents, strengthening our approach, and creating a fairer borough.
As a responsible and caring Council, we pride ourselves on delivering services with integrity, listening to residents, and working together to build a greener, safer, and fairer borough for all.
This role exemplifies our commitment to 'we're all in.' You'll work with purpose, diving into data details while keeping sight of the bigger picture. Your insights will guide decisions, shape conversations, and help us remain accountable through tangible, visible outcomes.
Interview Details: 4th July 2025
The interview will include a formal panel interview followed by an Excel exercise.
Ready to join us? We're all in—are you? If you share our values and have the skills to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

Machine Learning Jobs Salary Calculator 2025: Figure Out Your True Worth in Seconds

Why last year’s pay survey is useless for UK ML professionals today Ask a Machine Learning Engineer wrangling transformer checkpoints, an MLOps Lead firefighting drift alarms, or a Research Scientist training diffusion models at 3 a.m.: “Am I earning what I deserve?” The honest answer changes monthly. A single OpenAI model drop doubles GPU demand, healthcare regulators release fresh explainability guidance, & a fintech unicorn pays six figures for vector‑search expertise. Each shock nudges salary bands. Any PDF salary guide printed in 2024 now looks like an outdated Jupyter notebook—missing the gen‑AI tsunami, the surge in edge inference, & the UK’s new Responsible‑AI framework. To give ML professionals an accurate benchmark, MachineLearningJobs.co.uk distilled a transparent, three‑factor formula that estimates a realistic 2025 salary in under a minute. Machine learning is driving change across nearly every industry—from retail and finance to health and logistics. But while the technology continues to evolve rapidly, the ability to communicate it clearly has become just as important as building the models themselves. In this guide, you’ll learn how to confidently present your work, structure your message, use simple visuals, and explain the real-world value of machine learning in a way that makes sense to people without a background in data science.
