Overview

We are looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst to support various departments with advanced analytics, decision support, MI scoping and training. This role will be based in our Support Centre in Watford, with the expectation to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the business with deep dive detailed analysis relevant to their business area allowing them to make insightful decisions
  • Support business needs with relevant training, support and MI Data. Create user manuals / documents to support non tech colleagues.
  • Support the development of the Data Lake, collaborating with relevant stakeholders and Data Analysts to ensure that business needs are met. Apply your analytical knowledge to business problems recommending and implementing the analytical approach
  • Strong data reporting knowledge, with an ability to understand reporting for varied audiences
  • To own the Data tables management, supporting the creation of or creating the tables required by the business to build meaningful MI reporting as well as managing the business rules and logic in the data lake.
  • Create and amend company reporting and support the ‘spokes’ of super users around the business to ensure they are able to provide insightful reporting.
  • Experience of database administration in a multi-user environment.
  • Deliver data quality assurance, ensure data accuracy and confidentiality are present throughout data processes and systems.
  • Ensure robust procedures and processes are in place to ensure team best practice and high-quality outputs.
What are we looking for
  • Relevant professional or industry training including advanced SQL & Data Analysis (Essential)
  • 5+ yrs BI / data experience
  • Expert with BI Tools
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to translate IT into layman's terms
  • Functional and technical understanding and competence in the Google reporting and data warehouse architecture.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and building basic and complex queries.
  • Confident communicator capable of owning projects E2E with strong acumen for business analysis and user engagement
  • Confident in training other non finance users
  • Good team working and collaboration skills
