Job Details Here at Hastings Direct, as our Telematics Product grows, it needs a robust data analytics function behind it. As Such, we are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the team. The primary function of the role is to act as the key point of contact for the commercial manager to undertake key analyses to inform both commercial and customer outcomes. You will get the opportunity to work across a number of important commercial areas including identifying emerging market & trading trends and analysing commercial performance. You will also get the chance to conduct end to end analytics projects, all the way through the lifecycle: from data exploration, data planning, generating insights through to storytelling. There is also an element of mentorship within the role. We would like someone who can draw on past experience to be a role model to the more junior members of the team. Skills we would love you to have We are looking for someone experienced in a data analytics role with the ability to clean, scrutinize and interrogate high volumes of complex data and translate into meaningful reports and insights. With one of the key responsibilities focusing on the end to end lifecycle, we need someone who is well versed in all stages of the data analytics lifecycle. As part of the role also involves leading on certain analytical projects, if you can evidence clear delivery action orientated analytical projects, then it would be a huge positive. The good news is that prior insurance experience is positive, but certainly not a necessity. We are more interesting in seeing someone with experience utilising customer data, whether that is in insurance, the wider financial sector or even in retail.
