The business faces many challenges ahead to achieve this vision:What content should we commission?Which audiences are the most commercially attractive for us?What should our marketing strategy be?How do we optimise our product to improve view through rates?How do we use VOD to offset declines to Linear?Whatever the question, the ITV Insights Group is here to lead the business to its most successful future by putting insight, powered by research and data, at the heart of every key decision.The roleAs part of a cross-functional team, you will partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify and answer the 'big questions', working with Insight Managers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers to innovate, inform and impact decision-making. You will sharpen your technical skills to create outcome-focused insight for your domain while thinking critically and collaboratively to build relationships and create recommendations that balance the requirements of your clients with ITV's wider strategic objectives.Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)Experience of working in data analytics, preferably with extensive exposure to product, marketing or content analytics and experimentation methodologiesExperience working with cloud-based platforms such as GCP (BigQuery), AWS (Redshift) and DatabricksExperience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Tableau, Looker Studio, and AmplitudeExperience using SQL to analyse large datasets on Data lakes or EDWsExperience using Python to conduct statistical analyses and/or automate transformation pipelinesExperience working with ETL or transformation tools such as Alteryx, dbt and MatillionProven track record for creating meaningful outcome-driven analysis and insight for clientsProven track record for innovation and modernisation of legacy processesComfortable visualising and presenting analysis across a range of formats (reports, PowerPoint, dashboards, e-mail)Other things we're looking for (key criteria)Solid communication skills with the ability to articulate narratives with dataKeen problem solver who is able to demonstrate critical thinkingExcellent attention to detail and proactive in preventing errorsDeep understanding of analytical techniques and experimentation methodologiesAbility to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environmentExperience/interest in mentoring of junior team members and/or line managementA passion for TV programmes and an interest in the wider media landscapeITV is for everyone.ITV strongly encourages applications for this role from disabled people.
