The Drive

The Collecting Group (TCG) isn't your average company; we're a team of culture curators who live and breathe cars and watches. We're not just disrupting the auction industry, we're redefining it. Our brands, Collecting Cars and Watch Collecting, are already leading the pack, but we're just getting started. We're seeking a Senior Product Analyst to drive data-driven insights and shape product strategy.

The Mission

As a Senior Product Analyst at The Collecting Group, you will be at the forefront of unlocking data-driven insights that shape product strategy, operational efficiency, and commercial performance. Sitting at the intersection of product, growth, and executive decision-making, you’ll combine rigorous analysis with strategic thinking to influence the future of our platform.

You will go beyond dashboards: building models, running experiments, and helping us scale insight-driven decision making across Collecting Cars, Watch Collecting, and eventually, Collecting.com. You’ll also act as a translator between raw data and commercial impact, making complex findings digestible and actionable for business and leadership stakeholders.

The Challenge

  • Lead the data & analytics function, shaping priorities, managing workload, and coaching a team of analysts to ensure output is rigorous, timely, and impactful.
  • Build scalable analytical frameworks in SQL and Python to monitor marketplace dynamics, user behaviour, and product performance.
  • Develop advanced forecasting and modelling techniques to support pricing, auction velocity, and product development.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to Product, Tech, Ops, and Marketing, driving clarity around what’s working, what’s not, and what to test next.
  • Translate raw data into board-level insights - clear, concise, commercially relevant, and rooted in rigorous analysis.
  • Leverage AI/ML tools (e.g. LLMs, RAG, clustering, regression) to build smarter internal tools and identify untapped growth levers.
  • Design, implement, and interpret A/B tests and experiments that directly inform roadmap prioritisation and go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct trending and impact analyses across key business metrics to surface underlying drivers, detect inflection points early, and guide strategic prioritisation.
  • Identify and automate inefficient processes across the auction lifecycle, improving speed, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Represent the analytics function to the Executive Team, ensuring the “voice of the data” is embedded in strategic decision-making.

The Specs (What We'll Need From You):

  • 5+ years of experience in analytical roles, with a strong bias towards product analytics, growth, or marketplace environments.
  • Demonstrable experience leading an analytics function or team, including hiring, mentoring, and workflow prioritisation.
  • Expert SQL and Python skills, including production-grade pipelines, scripting, and automation.
  • Comfortable using BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Lightdash, and running analysis in statistical packages.
  • Familiarity with LLMs and AI-powered tools to support insight generation, automation, and experimentation.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders with data storytelling and commercial acumen
  • Deep understanding of marketplace KPIs: CAC, LTV, take-rate, sale rate, funnel conversion, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to make complex ideas easy to grasp.
  • A growth mindset: low ego, high curiosity, and an instinct to ask better questions, not just pull data.

The Pit Stop:

Parsons Green, London. You'll be predominantly based here, our London HQ. You'll need full UK working rights (sorry, we're unable to provide sponsorship for this position).

The Fuel:

  • 25 days holiday (plus an additional day each year after 2 years tenure).
  • Private medical insurance for you and your family with Vitality.
  • Company pension contribution.
  • Access to professional development resources and opportunities.
  • Annual Learning & Development budget to support your professional growth.
  • Monthly social budget to enjoy team activities and build connections.

The Finish Line:

If you are an experienced Senior Product Analyst with a passion for cars, watches, and shaping the future of digital platforms, we want you to lead our analytics efforts.
