We are looking for an AI Engineer to contribute to our mission to improve our patients' health and their lives, with the development of our web applications. This is ahybrid rolefor our office in London (UK) or Sofia (BG).

Who you are

  • You’re an experienced software engineer with 4+ years of commercial experience in commercial AI applications and use cases.

What you will do

Build impactful AI solutions to transform healthcare

  • Develop and integrate AI-driven capabilities to improve the productivity and quality of decision making of our doctors, clinicians and nutrition experts (by automating routine tasks or enabling advanced data analysis) and build AI-native products that can assist our customers with behavioural change.

  • Leverage out-of-the-box AI/ML technologies (LLMs, RAG, embeddings) to create practical and scalable solutions for real-world use cases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Support) to identify opportunities & customer needs and translate them into AI-powered features.

  • Proactively share AI best practices with our Product & Engineering teams, and advocate for innovative solutions that can further improve our products.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 4 years of commercial experience in developing & deploying AI/ML powered applications.

  • Practical experience with Python and familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, TensorFlow, LangChain / LlamaIndex.

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings & RAG, and vector databases.

  • Experience with AWS ML capabilities (e.g. SageMaker, Bedrock) or their GCP/Azure equivalents.

  • Experience with evaluating and improving the accuracy, efficiency and performance of LLM and RAG implementations and use cases.

  • Track record of working autonomously, owning end-to-end outcomes, and influencing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way to non-engineering teammates and stakeholders.

  • This is a hybrid role and you need to be based in London (UK) or Sofia (BG) so you can be in the office 3 days per week.

Other skills you might have

  • Experience with MLOps, CI/CD and production deployment of AI models.

  • Practical experience with chatbot development and conversational AI systems.

  • Understanding of responsible AI principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with scalable backend systems, cloud platforms and data engineering (pipelines, data cleaning, transformation & integration).

  • A degree in Computer Science or Data Science is a plus.
