Job Description The Salesforce Administrator will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and insightful analysis and data to support the Customer Service and Credit Management operations teams. This position will involve the development, maintenance, and reporting of the HarperCollins Salesforce instance, offering the successful candidate a unique opportunity to grow their data skills within the Salesforce arena.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the Salesforce platform, ensuring system configurations align with business needs and industry best practices.
Manage user accounts, roles, profiles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access levels and data security.
Oversee the implementation of system upgrades and new features, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Data Quality Assurance
Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain high data quality standards across the Salesforce platform.
Conduct regular audits of data to identify and rectify inconsistencies, duplicates, and inaccuracies.
Utilise Salesforce tools and third-party applications to automate data cleansing processes and improve data entry efficiency.
Reporting and Analytics
Design and generate customized reports and dashboards that provide insights into sales performance, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Customer Service and Credit Management teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against goals.
Analyse data trends and provide actionable recommendations to enhance sales strategies and decision-making.
Process Improvement
Work closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to map out existing processes and identify areas for improvement within Salesforce workflows.
Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce manual tasks, and enhance user experience through automation and best practices.
Document and communicate changes to processes and workflows to ensure alignment across teams.
Integration Management
Collaborate with IT and external vendors to manage and maintain integrations with other business systems (e.g., ERP system) to ensure seamless data flow.
Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring data consistency across platforms.
Evaluate and recommend new tools or integrations that could enhance Salesforce capabilities and support business objectives.
Documentation
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, processes, and user guidelines to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity within the team.
Create and update process maps, user manuals, and training materials to reflect changes in system functionality or business processes.
Ensure documentation is easily accessible and organized for user reference and training purposes.
Collaboration and Communication
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, credit management, and IT, to understand their needs and provide tailored Salesforce solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback on Salesforce-related initiatives.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to align Salesforce capabilities with business goals and initiatives.
Skills Required:
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Experience of Data Analysis and modelling
Managing and Delivering Performance
Ability to prioritise workload to meet departmental reporting targets and deadlines
Customer/Client Focus
Ability to balance the needs of customer/clients and HC to assist in producing effective solutions
Experience of presenting results in an appropriate manner to clients and customers
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment focussing on solution-based thinking
Ability to balance commercial implication and realities and translate these through data into solutions to improve efficiency and service
