As a Sales Director, you will contribute to Cognite’s growth by winning new business with Manufacturing accounts in Germany. You will help customers achieve improved business results through their adoption of Cognite Applications and the Cognite Data Fusion Platform to improve customers’ operational results in the Manufacturing industry.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy to drive bookings growth and win new customers
  • Foster sales culture, collaboration and ownership in the team achieving set targets
  • Orchestration of campaigns, targets, account lists, account and opportunity management, and internal collaboration (pre-sales, marketing, delivery, partner, deal desk and other key functions)
  • Develop the team in complex sales cycle management, value selling processes, working with the partner ecosystem
  • Commercial forecasting & planning
  • Hire and manage

Who you are

  • 7+ years of Sales & Customer Acquisition experience in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations, within process manufacturing
  • Experience with team leadership
  • Experience bringing on board specifically targeted logos
  • You have existing commercial relationships within process manufacturing in Germany
  • You can explain the respective value chains for process manufacturing - including key economic drivers; the business, people, and technical inter-dependencies; the digitalization opportunity with Industry 4.0
  • Well-versed in important manufacturing use cases, such as yield optimization, production visibility, higher operator productivity, quality improvement, predictive maintenance, and higher machine utilization
  • Experience with Operational Technology equipment and related software, such as Honeywell Connected Plant, Emerson Plantweb/AMS, GE/Meridum APM, Aveva, Bentley, and OSIsoft PI
  • Familiarity with relevant technology, such as Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, BigQuery); Data Warehouses; Business Intelligence; and Machine Learning
  • Savvy at helping customers create business cases with quantified ROI to justify new investments
  • Experience with enterprise software/ software-as-a-service (Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse/ Big Data/ Advanced Analytics/ Machine Learning) to C-level executives
  • You are an accountable, engaging communicator who loves impacting others through bringing new perspectives and creating impact through measurable results
  • Background from or strong interest in working for a fast growing SaaS-company
