We are recruiting for a Risk Data Analyst and Assistant to join our in‑house Risk and Compliance team. You will be part of a successful team with responsibility for Risk & Compliance across all our UK offices. The role will encompass data analysis, process automation and reporting, as well as providing wider support services to the team. The Risk and Compliance team ensures we are compliant with all our obligations in areas such as professional regulation and data protection and advises on operational and regulatory risk across the firm, protecting our clients and people. The team includes both experienced lawyers and technical specialists who address an extensive range of regulatory and ethical requirements, applying both commercial and practical thinking to ensure we remain compliant and true to our values.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the team's expert on Microsoft applications, data reporting and automation
  • Design and develop the automation of key reporting and data gathering requirements using Power Automate and other MS tools
  • Explore and support the use of Microsoft Co‑pilot and other legal generative AI tools to enhance team efficiency, data analysis and reporting capabilities
  • Run regular Management Information and other reports based on agreed specifications
  • Design, maintain and develop the use of SharePoint databases and reports
  • Proactively identify improvements to our reporting and automation capability to ensure timely and accurate information is available to meet business, regulatory and policy requirements
  • Support, coach and train team members in their use of Microsoft applications, including implementing solutions and resolving technical issues
  • Support the implementation of changes to team systems and tools that will enhance the user experience for the wider firm and maximise the use of inbuilt functionality

Other Assistance

  • Supporting other team members on tasks and projects
  • Managing regulatory and administrative processes such as professional indemnity insurance renewals, registered foreign lawyer applications and practising certificate renewals
  • Coordinating and leading team and other internal meetings including arranging speakers and agenda items, circulating agendas, and proactively following up on agreed actions
  • General administration tasks including allocating incoming queries from the business to the relevant team members, keeping centralised task lists, updating intranet pages, coordinating the team's monthly bulletin
  • Assisting with the coordination and management of team workflows, including tracking progress of ongoing tasks, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring timely completion of deliverables

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including MS Teams, SharePoint and Power Automate
  • Awareness of and interest in generative AI tools, including Microsoft Co‑pilot and legal‑specific AI systems, and their application in a compliance and risk management context
  • Excellent organisational skills – able to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams
  • Personal accountability for all deliverables, working proactively and at pace to deliver required milestones
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with key stakeholders
  • A track record of success and experience working in a similar position, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm
