Role:Real World Data Scientist (Contractor)
Location:Welwyn Garden City - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Hours:Full-time, 6-month contract (Inside IR35)
Pay: £44.77 - £52.24 per hour PAYE (basic, excluding holiday pay)OR£60 - £70 per hour UMB

Interviews to commence from 11th August.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Real World Data Scientist (Contractor) to join one of our longstanding clients, an exciting and forward-thinking organisation in Welwyn Garden City.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum of an MSc in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology or related discipline (PhD preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience designing, writing protocols, and producing reports/manuscripts for real-world data studies in industry, CRO, or post-doctoral research
  • Ideally, familiarity or interest in neuromuscular conditions such as SMA, DMD, or FSHD
  • Experience with post-approval safety or effectiveness studies is a plus
  • Familiarity with R and collaborating with analytics teams is desirable

The Role:

  • Develop and document research plans and reports for non-interventional studies using sources such as registries, medical records, and claims data
  • Assess internal and external data sources for feasibility and quality in real-world evidence generation
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to define and refine study designs (coding experience not essential but beneficial)
  • Work cross-functionally with teams across clinical science, medical affairs, regulatory, access, and safety
  • Support the interpretation and communication of study findings
  • Work under the guidance of experienced real-world data scientists
