Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester with hands-on experience inETL testing (Informaticaor Microsoft Fabric) and a strong understanding ofAzure Data Engineering toolssuch asAzure SQL Database,Azure Blob Storage, andAzure Data Factory. The ideal candidate will possessgood hands-on knowledge of writing and executing SQL queriesto validate data across systems. Experience inMicrosoft Fabricis considered a strong bonus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • PerformETL/data pipeline testingusingInformatica PowerCenterorIICS.
  • Validatedata ingestion,transformation, andloading processesacross Azure services.
  • Executesource-to-target data validation, data profiling, and data reconciliation.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queriesto validate data transformations, aggregations, and business rules inAzure SQL Databaseand other relational platforms.
  • Test data flows and integrations involving:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Blob Storage
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Analyze data mapping specifications and support data quality and audit initiatives.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using tools likeJIRAorAzure DevOps.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
  • Contribute to daily Agile ceremonies and maintain clear and detailed QA documentation.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–7 yearsof software testing experience, with at least2+ years in ETL testing using Informatica.
  • Strong hands-on experience inwriting and executing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience testing cloud-based data pipelines built onAzure, specifically:
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure Blob Storage
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Familiarity withdata warehouse testing,data transformation logic, anddata quality standards.
  • Exposure totest planning,test case design, anddefect management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.


Preferred / Bonus Skills:

  • Experience withMicrosoft Fabric(OneLake, DirectLake, Data Warehouse, Data Activator) is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge ofAzure Synapse Analytics,Databricks, orPower BI.
  • Experience withautomated data validationor scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity withCI/CD processesin data environments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g.,Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate,Informatica Developer/QA) are advantageous.
