A client of ours, an entrepreneur with 2 successful tech companies that specialise in sports technology, is starting anew venture within the racing space. He spends his time out of work as a professional racing driver, and is using his knowledge of this domain to work on a new piece of software
This Software ingests race and car data, with an aim to enable greater visibility on key information to allow the racing team to make better data-driven decisions
The Role
As aPython Engineer,you will help with the ongoing development of this platform, collaborating with3 other Engineers and a Data Scientist.The software is currently in an early alpha stage, so there are plenty of opportunities to work on a range of new features, working on bug fixes and growing out an application at its early stages.
There will be lots of opportunities to attend race days as part of this role, where you will see the practical implementation of the software that you are developing, as well as speaking to the users to understand their requirements further
Requirements
- 2+ years experience of Python, as well as strong experience working with APIs
- An active interest in the motorsport industry
- Some experience of JavaScript, experience with React would be an advantage but not a requirement
- Willingness to work on a product in the early stages of development
- Ability to travel for race-days across England
