We have an exciting opportunity for aProject Managerto work within the Programme Management Team for a successful client. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have (or be able to acquire) DV clearance.
Leidos is looking for an applicant to come on board and successfully support the multi-functional team and to assist in the management and administration of project delivery aspects of a major defense programme delivering support to both National as well as Global defense strategies.

Your Role and Responsibilities.
This sub family is responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives. Duties may include ensuring that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints. This sub family also interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.
Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
Required Skills:
Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives.
Ability to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of engineering principles.
The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
Proven track record in successfully delivering projects or task work packages.
Able to demonstrate experience (minimum 2 years) in Programme Support.
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects.
Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication
Excellent written communication using e-mail, presentations and reports
Desired Skills:
Experience leading project teams to deliver to the ideals of project management, on Time, to Budget, at the required Quality.
Experience of MS Project (eg. Gantt, Timeline, IMS, Reporting)
Experience of Agile development (e.g. SCRUM)
Knowledge of database technologies (e.g. Oracle DB, MySQL)
Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles.
MOD or Defense knowledge would be highly advantageous
