Location: Cheddar, Somerset.

Salary is dependable on skillset, knowledge and experience, from £30-£40k per annum

Full time, Permanent. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week (between 8am and 5pm) with a half an hour unpaid break.

Hybrid - Full time in the office until probation is passed – then Hybrid, which is 3 days in the office and 2 days at home – flexibility is a must depending on business needs.

Overview

We are on a mission to find an exceptional talented and ambitious individual to be part of our client’s product management journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join our fabulous client, who is looking for an individual who they can guide nurture and mould into this role.

You’ll step into this dynamic role in the product area of our client’s business, where no two days are the same!

As a Product Management Assistant, with a degree in either Business management or computer science and a mature talent for building strong relationships. You’ll work under and support the head of Product Management with new product development, from idea generation to product market entry, research tasks, overseeing product and business performance, Support product life cycle analysis and market studies. Accountable for all aspects of market research, both desk and field based, to provide fact-based approach to NPD project justifications. Support with identifying, developing, and launching new products and collaborating with the senior sales team to deliver category development and increased market share. This role includes collaboration with China & EU based suppliers to develop or adapt NPD suitable for the industry market.

The Ideal Candidate Profile we are looking for:

  • Early Career Professional or recent graduate in business management/development, computer science, statistics, data science or mathematics - Eager to develop skills in product management.

  • This role would be ideal for someone with around one years of work experience in the Category or Product management, Market research, business forecasting or data analysis fields.

  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous with a keen eye for quality and precision.

  • Team Player: Comfortable working with and fitting into multiple teams across the organisation.

  • Critical Thinking- actively question assumptions and evaluate information from various angles before forming an opinion.

  • Data and Analytical savvy - allowing you to look at a problem critically and figure out how to measure even things that are hard to measure.

  • Decisiveness and flexibility - to have the ability to make prompt and confident decisions and have the willingness to adapt plans and strategies as needed based on new data, market changes, or unforeseen circumstances, essentially allowing for course corrections without compromising the overall product vision.

    Specific role responsibilities:

  • Identify trends / opportunities for new product.

  • NPD process ownership – ensure all aspects of process are followed and delivered on time.

  • Input and overseeing the new product development future pipeline.

  • Product life cycle analysis of current portfolio products – identifying growth, maturity, decline stages.

  • Gain in-depth market knowledge of sales channels, market competition and bathroom trends.

  • Market research including commissioning third party research, visiting project sites and showrooms, meeting new and existing customers.

  • Responsible for tracking and increasing product vitality rate.

  • Managing sales - led product requests for projects

  • Regular cross-departmental meetings and communications including Marketing, Purchasing and China-based team members.

  • Manage pricing and create tailored price lists to suit specific channels and markets.
