Job Overview:

The mission of the Central Technology ML (CTML) team is to pioneer and implement the technology roadmap that paves the way for the future of machine learning computing on Arm architecture. We believe that innovative ML technology necessitates joint development across hardware, software, and ML algorithms. We will collaborate on what is the best way to balance among all these constraints.

As a member of the CTML Content and Algorithm team, the candidate will play a key role within the Center of Excellence for Machine Learning. They will actively contribute to this joint development initiative, conducting in-depth analyses of complex neural networks on ARM’s computing platforms and devising algorithms that will elevate us to the forefront of the future.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop an in-depth understanding of current and future ML workloads on ARM compute platforms with a focus on PPA (performance, power, and area).
  2. Engage in architecture exploration, requiring joint development of hardware, software, and algorithms. Serve as the ML Algorithm expert within this process, including algorithm innovation and prototyping to drive and validate architectural features.
  3. Develop hardware-aware optimization algorithms capable of enhancing state-of-the-art networks on Arm platforms, including CPU, GPU, and NPUs.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in ML Algorithm Development and/or Optimization environments.
  • A Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
  • Proficiency in computer architecture, with basic knowledge of hardware and software design.
  • Experience developing and working with large software systems, especially in Python.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Experience training large deep learning models on GPU-based systems.

Nice To Have Skills and Experience:

  • ML Model Optimization techniques targeted for resource-constrained ARM edge compute platforms.

In Return:

With over 30 years of innovation, Arm has become a global computing platform. You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to advancing ML performance across the industry.

At Arm, we support our people to Do Great Things. If you require support or accommodations during the recruitment process, please email us. Your information will be kept confidential and used solely to provide necessary accommodations, such as breaks, document reading, or accessible facilities.

Arm is committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We prohibit discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and other protected characteristics. We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
