Who you'll be working with: You'll join our team of data engineers on the Global Data Hub project, a flagship initiative to create a unified data platform for the Claims domain. This project supports insights and analytics, providing global views for portfolio management and strategic decision-making.


Experience and skills we need:



  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in software development, with a third-level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM subject, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial environment.
  • Essential Skills: Python, AWS, Observability Tools
  • Data skills, including SQL, Redshift, and data quality.
  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, or similar, for deployment purposes.
  • Proven experience in feature or function design and delivery as part of an agile software development team (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated collaboration with Product Owners, customers, end-users, or stakeholders in the delivery of software, solutions, or products.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and build a scalable and efficient data infrastructure using AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, and SNS.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data quality standards and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Utilize Python and other relevant technologies to automate data processing tasks.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows using observability tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and design solutions accordingly.
  • Work as part of an agile software development team, contributing to the architecture and design in your area of work.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring the successful delivery of features and components.
  • Implement code quality practices, including automated unit and integration testing and adherence to security processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends, assessing their business value and implementing them in the development life cycle.
  • Share knowledge and insights through internal tech talks, blogging, and external events.
