ZS Associates' Business Technology group focuses on strategizing, designing and building marketing and sales technology solutions to improve commercial effectiveness. The types of solutions include enterprise information management, reporting, analytics, CRM/SFA and business process automation enablement leveraging Big Data Technologies, AI/ML and Advance Analytics techniques. We provide a complete spectrum of business technology solutions, from strategy and roadmap definition to full implementation and on-going operations. Our team possesses deep expertise in leading analytic, business intelligence, CRM and system integration technologies, Big Data, AI/ML which we apply in a pragmatic fashion to create and deliver optimal architecture and implementation solutions.

ZS’ R&D Excellence Practicebrings together experts in Strategy, Clinical Execution, Data Sciences and Technology to empower client organizations achieve their passion for patient care, science and business success. Through our “Lifecycle Evidence Strategy”, “Clinical Trial Optimization”, “Medical Affairs” and “Real World Evidence” services, we deliver impact where it matters, from early drug development to commercialization. This role will be aligned with ZS R&D Excellence Practice Area supporting our Technology and Platform services across multiple clients.

Role:

This role will have responsibility to drive growth in our Clinical Technology business by taking ownership of one or more client accounts to sell and deliver offerings, and bespoke technology solutions for Clinical functions in Pharma and Biotech companies.

The person in this role will be responsible for growing the capabilities in the Business Technology group focused on Clinical Development by managing the existing client relationships, developing net new relationships, and generating new business engagements. This person will need to fully understand the company, its service lines, and actively assess/present ways to serve clients by developing solutions and offerings relevant to that client base.

The successful candidate will work closely with ZS leadership and collaborate effectively with other ZSers within account and practice teams; grow the practice by expanding client and customer relationships and building trusted advisory relationships with executives at the company’s various accounts.

Responsibilities:

Lead large scale client business development and delivery engagements in the Life Sciences Industry - Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech sector; Consistently deliver quality client services and drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget; Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes; Develop relationships with net new senior client stakeholders (CxOs) in technology functions within relevant Industries Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in conjunction with ZS leadership, with an emphasis on core Digital and Technology (D&T) offerings for Clinical Development Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business; Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds; Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members; Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment; Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization; Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge Demonstrate deep Clinical Development knowledge with a functional expertise spanning data, systems, and business processes; Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge; Possess in depth business acumen; Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business or Life Sciences; MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable; 15+ years’ experience in life science industry management consulting; 7+ years’ experience in a leadership role within a professional services firm; Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies;
