Location: Hybrid (candidates need to be a commutable distance to Accrington with travel to other offices when required)


The People Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the implementation, optimisation and ongoing administration of the Group’s HR and payroll systems. This role ensures that people data is accurate, secure and structured to enable high‑quality reporting and insights. The postholder will work closely with the People, IT, Payroll and operational teams to maintain data integrity and deliver meaningful management information to stakeholders across the Group and our parent company in Singapore.

Success in this role means supporting a smooth and well managed HR system rollout, with accurate data migration and minimal disruption to the organisation. The postholder will maintain high standards of data integrity through consistent auditing, cleansing, archive and adherence to data governance requirements. You will ensure that people information is accurate, clean and trusted across the Group. You will deliver timely, reliable reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insight for senior leaders at CMAC Group, respond promptly to parent group queries and support the successful implementation, seamless integration and ongoing maintenance of both the HRIS and payroll systems.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout and configuration of new people systems/modules across the Group.
  • Assist with system testing, troubleshooting and identifying bugs or issues.
  • Support data migration activities including cleansing, mapping, reconciliation and validation.
  • Maintain user access controls, permissions and role-based security.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, training materials and user guides.
  • Provide first-line system support to HR teams and end users, escalating where required.
  • Support user experience and system adoption strategies across the Group.
  • Ensure all people data is accurate, complete and compliant with data governance standards.
  • Produce gender, disability and ethnicity pay gap reports across the Group.
  • Regularly audit and cleanse data across HR systems to maintain integrity.
  • Support GDPR compliance through responsible data handling and retention practices.
  • Monitor workflows, approvals and data flows between HR, Payroll and other integrated systems.
  • Produce regular dashboards and reports for senior leaders, ensuring these are in the correct format for our parent company.
  • Develop automated and self‑service reporting capabilities through the HR system.
  • Analyse trends to support strategic decision‑making across the Group.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and data quality.
  • Contribute to the design of new system functionalities and enhancements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to streamline end-to-end HR data processes.
  • Keep up to date with system updates, testing and best practices, supporting system upgrades when required.
  • Support wider People Tram projects as and when required.

The Essentials:

  • Strong data skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data manipulation) is ideal.
  • Experience producing reports, dashboards and MI for stakeholders.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical users.
  • Ability to use modern technology to make process improvements.
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll or other business systems.
  • Experience in supporting HR system implementations or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of AI and tools like Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting platforms.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or Group environment.

You’ll be trained to support the international rollout of new HR technology, working closely with our Implementation Lead and parent company in Singapore.

In this role, your work will directly enable reliable Group‑level reporting and governance, improve the accuracy and efficiency of HR data and processes, and support real time, evidence‑based decision‑making. You’ll have a direct impact in strengthening how HR systems are used across the organisation and ensure compliance.


Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, curiosity and a fresh way of thinking to the People Operations Team acting as the glue that connects data, systems and people to drive improvements.
