We are seeking an experienced Pensions Data Analyst with expertise in UK pension schemes and the Altair (or alternative) pension administration system.

In this role you will support the Pension & Reward Operations Manager with all aspects of the maintenance and development of the Pensions Administration System (Altair). You will assist in production, management and processing of all data extracts and interfaces and to provide ongoing support to pension projects.

In this role you will:

Support the maintenance and development of the pension administration system (Altair), ensuring accurate member records, benefit calculations, letters, and workflows. Assist with developing and testing pension system workflows, calculations, letters, issue resolution, software updates, and change requests. Reconcile payroll and HR files monthly to ensure the pension system is updated and accurate. Collaborate on data projects like Pension Dashboard, scheme data extracts, reporting, pension increases, and Benefit Statements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Manage interfaces with external suppliers, resolve processing queries, and upload interfaces as needed. Produce management information, update member records accurately, and support annual membership movements and contribution reconciliations.

Key requirements:

Strong knowledge andexperience in UK pension arrangements, manual benefit calculations, and handling large volumes of personal data. Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel and Word, with desirable skills inPower BI, SQL, and VBA. Previous experience in systems support, withAltair(Heywood) administration system experience being an advantage. Analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with attention to detail and high numeracy. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to ad-hoc tasks, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a primarily home-based role.
