Scope

Akkodis is launching a new technical delivery team to drive a UK national program in collaboration with key partners, designed to transform and future-proof the central government’s workforce. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and a comprehensive SaaS-based platform, this program will create an advanced, candidate-centric experience tailored to meet tomorrow’s public sector skill demands.

Role

We are seeking a skilled Pega Developer for role to design and implement scalable Business Process Management (BPM) solutions using the Pega Platform. The role involves developing and customising applications with Pega PRPC, integrating systems via APIs (SOAP, REST), and enhancing functionality with SQL, JavaScript, and XML.


Responsibilities

Certification and Technical Expertise

Relevant Pega certification (e.g., Certified System Architect (CSA), Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA), or Certified Pega Decisioning Consultant (CPDC)).

Project Delivery:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects within Agile methodology frameworks.
  • Ability to work with Product Owners to develop requirements, solution concepts, and prototypes.
  • Effective in driving discussions and translating business needs into technical specifications.

Cloud and Systems Expertise:

  • Practical experience working with cloud systems and application servers.
  • Strong background in application development and managing integration points.


Required Skills

  • Develop and implement scalable Pega Platform solutions, ensuring efficiency and high performance.
  • Customise Business Process Management (BPM) applications to meet organisational needs.
  • Optimise application performance using Pega Tracer and other debugging tools.
  • Integrate Pega applications with external platforms via SOAP, REST APIs, OAuth2, and LDAP.
  • Work with SQL, JavaScript, XML, and JQuery to enhance application functionality and usability.
  • Develop automated workflows using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to increase efficiency.
  • Implement and manage security features such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Ensure secure authentication and access management with OAuth2 and LDAP.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and design tailored Pega solutions.
  • Build reusable Pega PRPC components to streamline development and reduce redundancy.
  • Maintain detailed documentation covering technical specifications, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct code reviews, following Pega development best practices and standards.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure the delivered solutions align with business requirements.


Required Experience

  • Experience in modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Development in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and technologies.
  • Strong mentoring skills to support junior team members’ development.
  • Knowledge of other BPM or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale Pega implementations and enterprise transformations.


Required education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
