This role is onsite, reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Responsibilities include developing complex data pipelines and data-processing systems to support aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will design, develop, and optimize solutions to tackle technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Integrate data from various platforms and systems (on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, vendors).
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data workflows.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, Aerodynamicists to translate requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, HPC, instrumentation, live streaming data pipelines, aerodynamic testing.
