Master Data Analyst – Advantage Smollan

Full Time, Permanent


Salary: £32,000 + annual company bonus + pension scheme


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week


Location: Winnersh, RG41 (Hybrid) – majority home based


The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lifecycle Management: Own the end‑to‑end creation, maintenance and deactivation of master data.
  • Quality & Audit: Perform root‑cause analysis and validation routines to ensure data is accurate and consistent.
  • Insights & Reporting: Support the development of dashboards (Power BI/Pyramid) to monitor KPIs and identify process inefficiencies.
  • Innovation: Help deliver projects involving process automation, AI‑powered validations and improved commercial workflows.
  • Data Mapping: Assist with documenting data flows, definitions and ownership models across the business.

What You’ll Bring

  • Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of master data domains (e.g., product, customer, vendor).
  • Toolkit: Exposure to reporting or visualization tools (Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, or Access) and comfort using Google Workspace.
  • Process Mindset: Interest in process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) and a desire to learn how data drives commercial value.
  • Analytical Rigor: High attention to detail with the ability to clean, transform and prep datasets for complex analytics.
  • Communication: Ability to work across functions, drive the adoption of data standards and support team training.
