You will support our Domain Leader by leading on large scale digital transformations, building bespoke analytics solutions to answer clients’ key questions and consult on the findings, including high-profile presentations to our clients senior execs. You will be in a technical expert and leader position and working in teams, with other consultants (mainly data scientists and fellow data engineers) on 1 or 2 projects simultaneously.AccountabilitiesOverview:1. Data Engineering·Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and efficient data pipelines and workflows.·Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of data engineering projects, including advisory, implementation, and review phases, with interactions ranging from technical teams to senior leadership.·Ensure the organization and quality of data engineering codebases and maintain robust data modelling practices. Collaborate with other senior engineers (Governance, DevOps, etc.) to establish best practices.·Deliver actionable, clear, and practical recommendations to foster strong adoption within client organizations and support Ekimetrics project leadership in achieving business goals.·Act as an internal technical leader and innovator, contributing to the development of advanced and tailored technical solutions for clients while championing engineering excellence.2. People & Development·Be a HR mentor responsible for contributing to the development of more junior team members, including upskilling them on software development.·Share projects and practices within the team and more generally within Ekimetrics, be an ambassador one of our values: Transmission·Work in small teams, leading and coaching of anywhere from 2-10 Data science consultants or Data engineers.3. Business Management & Consulting·Design and scope new projects, using the right analyses to answer client questions·Participate in pre-sales of Ekimetrics projects,·Deliver with excellence – ensure high client satisfaction and make sure that issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner with no surprises·Ensure the client's business case is achievable and Ekimetrics has the appropriate ability to influence promised outcomes·Drive high client value and broaden relationships at the most senior levels with current and prospective clients and translate this into new business opportunities for Ekimetrics.About YouWe are looking for someone who is able to wear 2 hats – the data architect and the strategic business consultant – so you’ll need to show both advanced technical acumen and a strong interest in business strategy.Requirements·A Degree in Computer Science or a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, statistics, or applied mathematics from a leading academic institution is preferred.·5+ years of experience in solution development as a data engineer in a business setting, preferably in a client-facing or consulting-oriented role.·Proficiency in Python, SQL and Spark is required ·Experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks.
