Description

In this internship, you will explore the cutting-edge intersection of AI and software engineering within the Photos Intelligence team. You will investigate novel applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents to revolutionize how users interact with their photo libraries.Working in a fast-paced research environment, you will prototype innovative AI-driven experiences and build proof-of-concept implementations that demonstrate new interaction paradigms. You will collaborate with AI/ML researchers to translate AI concepts into tangible prototypesThis role offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of Apple Intelligence integration, using Photos as the ideal playground of personal data to pioneer next-generation AI experiences. You will contribute to groundbreaking research while gaining hands-on experience in both cutting-edge AI technologies and software engineering practicesWe are seeking an intern passionate about pushing the boundaries of human-computer interaction and excited about the potential for AI to create deeper connections with personal memories.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and frameworks (academic projects, coursework, or personal projects welcome)
  • Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as Python, Swift, or C++ through coursework, internships, or personal projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating ML models into applications or prototypes
  • Familiarity with iOS/macOS development or mobile application development
  • Previous work on consumer-facing applications through projects or coursework
  • Passion for photography, visual storytelling, and creating meaningful user experiences
