Do you want to join a team working at the cutting edge of engineering sustainability? Here at Monolith, we’re on a mission to empower engineers to use AI to solve the most intractable physics problems like developing next-gen EV batteries that charge faster and last longer. With strong product-market fit, we’ve doubled in size over the last four years, are growing globally, and we have ambitious plans to expand. It’s an exciting time. To continue in our growth, we are recruiting a Lead Engineer based out of our London Office.

Mid-low level tech design: Mid and low-level design of our technical stack in coordination with broader architecture.
Tech leadership: Shape and promote the software engineering culture and practices by applying state-of-the-art best practices that help foster a collaborative environment and ensure continuous learning and development opportunities for the team.
Line manage the software engineering team, including recruitment and retention strategies. Remain hands-on by actively participating in code reviews and other technical processes to stay informed on lower-level work.
Required Skills and Attributes:
7 years or more of coding experience, with at least 3 years primarily focused on Python.
Knowledge of MLOps principles and practices, especially in implementing them within production settings.
Worked on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

We're particularly excited about candidates who bring start up experience to the table, as it aligns closely with our dynamic, innovative culture.
Nice to haves:
2 or more years of experience managing a tech team previously
Experience working on AI-based products.
Distributed computing experience (Spark, MPI, etc)
