The Role

We are working with an ambitious and fast-growing data consultancy seeking aLead Data Scientistto join their team. Reporting directly to the Founder, you will take full ownership of the Data Science solutions offering, with a strong focus onLLMs and cutting-edge AI/ML solutions.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Engaging directly with clients across a diverse portfolio, delivering high-impact Data Science solutions from day one.
  • Taking a hands-on approach to designing, developing, and deploying ML/AI models.
  • Supporting business development by identifying ML/AI opportunities with clients and participating in prospecting calls.
  • Leading discovery phases, facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and delivering strategy documents.
  • Overseeing the full end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML model development, from concept to deployment and adoption.
  • Training and handing over solutions to client stakeholders for seamless integration.
  • Managing and mentoring one direct report, with plans for team growth in the future.
  • Driving further analytical projects and securing additional work during project delivery.


Projects You Could Work On:

  • Predictive Customer Engagement:Developing ML models to forecast customer engagement likelihood following operational actions in financial services.
  • LLM-Powered Recommendations:Deploying LLM solutions to optimize resolution time for an IT managed service provider.
  • Optimised Forecasting & Planning:Building an AI-driven forecasting solution for a food manufacturer to enhance production accuracy and profitability.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying ML/AI solutions.
  • Strong technical expertise in machine learning, NLP, and LLMs.
  • Ability to engage with clients and lead discovery phases.
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior data scientists.
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach.
