About the Role: As a Junior Technical Writer at KX, you will work under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief to help create and maintain user-facing technical documentation. Your responsibilities will include content organization, verifying completeness, proofreading, and upholding high writing standards. Your primary goal will be to enhance the user experience through the software documentation you help produce. Key Responsibilities: Assist in organizing KX's technical documentation to optimize accessibility and clarity. Help determine the most effective structure for presenting information, ensuring optimal reader comprehension. Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and thorough coverage of specialized topics. Conduct reviews and copyediting of content produced by team members. Maintain awareness of competitors' documentation to inform our approach. Manage timelines to align documentation delivery with software release schedules. Additional Responsibilities: Work with the Documentation team to ensure consistency and alignment in documentation efforts. Continuously enhance documentation quality by incorporating user feedback and industry best practices. Research and stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements to accurately reflect product features. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English, a Computer Science field, or a related area. Strong command of writing style, grammar, and punctuation. Eager learner, especially in technology and its associated concepts. Some experience in technical writing; familiarity with documenting data platforms is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment. Desired Skills: Basic experience with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Markdown. Ability to understand and edit JavaScript, HTML, XML, and stylesheets.
