Improving how data scientists collaborate
Thanks! We'll get back to you very soon.
Oops! Something went wrong while submitting the form.
With a team of industry-leading specialists, we conceive and build open-source solutions that break new ground. When a problem looks impossible, we find a way; if the right tool doesn’t exist, we build one. We harness and channel the power of AI to create positive, meaningful change.
About Fuzzy Labs

Fuzzy Labs is an MLOps consultancy obsessed with the open-source ecosystem. We partner with data-science teams in the private and public sectors to get machine-learning products into production faster, safer, and with less technical debt. We contribute to (and rely on) the global open-source community, believing the best innovation happens in the open.
We doubled revenue in the past 12 months and have equally bold growth plans for the year ahead. We’re creating an exciting new opportunity for a Junior MLOps Engineer. You’ll learn and grow alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders while immersing yourself in this cutting-edge area of technology.
About the Role

We’re based in central Manchester, UK, operating on a hybrid model, with full-time team members typically spending three days a week in the office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). We use these days for activities where being present in person adds real value, such as sprint planning, project scheduling, retrospectives, social lunches, and one-to-ones.
Due to the sensitive nature of some projects, you will be expected to undergo UK government security clearance after you start (at SC level – see this link for more information). This will include a credit check and criminal records check.

As a result,

we’re only able to consider candidates who have been resident in the UK for 5 or more years and are UK citizens .
What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be working within a supportive engineering squad, contributing to every stage of our project delivery lifecycle, including:
Assisting with client interactions to understand needs and help recommend solutions.
Implementing features alongside experienced engineers, maintaining high standards of documentation and testing.
Actively participating in sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and code reviews.
Supporting our commitment to maintaining excellent engineering standards and delighting our clients.
Learning new technologies, tools, and best practices in a supportive environment.
Alongside client work, you’ll also contribute to our R&D projects and have opportunities to develop your voice within the MLOps community through writing blogs, producing videos, and exploring new technologies.
Who We’re Looking For

You do not need an existing MLOps background—this role is ideal for recent graduates or anyone with a software engineering or data science background looking to specialise in an exciting and rapidly evolving field
As well as being a great engineer, motivated by the chance to be at the forefront of MLOps adoption, you’ll also enjoy being part of a culture that values:
Loving what we do:

a real passion for data, software, AI, and taking pride in great work.
Just trying it:

MLOps is an exciting new field. We love to develop new skills, solve new problems and thrive on a challenge.
Being greater than the sum of parts:

we are a team, one that isn’t just us but our customers and our community.
Positive impact:

AI is going to change the world. We choose to use it for good and leave a positive legacy.
The ideal candidate would be motivated to grow and progress in line with the company’s ambitions. Even if you feel you only meet some of the criteria below, we encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn above all.
You’ll ideally have:
Enthusiasm for coding, machine learning, and open-source technology.
Experience in Python programming (academic or personal projects are suitable).
Basic familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and interest in modern DevOps practices (e.g. infrastructure-as-code).
Comfort with or willingness to learn agile software delivery practices.
Familiarity with core software tooling: Git, Unix/Linux, Docker. Opinions on your favourite IDE/editor are encouraged!
Awareness of modern machine learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, SKLearn).
Excellent communication skills, both customer-facing and within internal teams.
Some awareness of MLOps is beneficial but not essential.
What We Can Offer You

By joining a small company you’ll have the chance to make a real impact on its future. There’s plenty of room for growth and we’ll work with you to help you realise your technical and personal ambitions, because your success and the company’s success are one and the same.
25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), increasing to 30 with service.
Equity option scheme, giving you a genuine stake in the business.
Cycle to Work Scheme.
Company pension.
All the unsolicited coffee-making advice you could ask for.
Interested?
