Job Title: Environmental Data Analyst


This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a master’s degree in Environmental Studies or a related field, complemented by internship experience in environmental data analysis or sustainability projects.

We are partnering with an environmental organisation that is committed to developing impactful solutions for sustainability and environmental challenges. Their team is driven by a passion for harnessing data and technology to create positive change in areas such as climate action, carbon offsetting, and natural resource management. They are currently seeking a Junior Environmental Data Analyst to join their team and contribute to exciting projects focused on carbon offsetting and environmental data analysis.


Position Overview:

As the Junior Environmental Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming environmental data into actionable insights. You will support major projects, including carbon offset initiatives, climate risk analysis, and geospatial data management. Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a meaningful way, contributing to solutions for some of today’s most pressing environmental issues.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret environmental and geospatial datasets using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python.
  • Assist in developing models and visualisations for environmental projects, including carbon offsetting, climate resilience, and sustainability reporting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental impact assessments, climate risk evaluations, and natural resource management studies.
  • Support data collection, cleaning, and validation processes to ensure high-quality datasets.
  • Prepare clear, engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in environmental data science, geospatial analysis, and sustainability.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Data Science, or a related field from a Russell Group university.
  • Experience using geospatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and climate-related data, with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
  • A passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.


Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 - £40,000.
  • Hybrid working arrangement in London.
