Job Title: Junior Data Engineer

  • Pay Rate: Competitive (Umbrella)
  • Duration: 6 months with a view to extend to 9 months
  • Working Pattern: Remote (occasional travel to Bristol for training)
  • Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
  • As a Junior Data Engineer, you will work closely with a Senior Data Engineer to support a critical application launch.
  • This hands-on role focuses on maintaining data integrity and implementing SQL-based fixes and patches in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Write and execute queries for code fixes, patches, and data corrections.
  • Support the Senior Data Engineer in maintaining database stability and performance as the application goes live.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
  • Implement database patches and updates.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Document technical processes and maintain clear records of changes made.

  • Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (mandatory)
  • Solid understanding of query writing, optimization, and debugging
