About The Role

The Junior Data Analyst will be instrumental in helping capture operational needs, support systems integration, and ensure that the business voice is translated into actionable processes, workflows, and reporting insights.

NRG Riverside is the UK’s largest municipal and specialist fleet hire company, providing specialist vehicles on short‑and long‑term hire, flexible hire solutions for operational continuity, comprehensive maintenance and support packages and large, high‑quality portfolio of used vehicles for sale.


Established in 1996, we support customers to rationalise and decarbonise fleets, reduce costs and minimise Vehicle Off Road (VOR) time. Our reputation is built on operational understanding, reliability and long‑term partnerships.


What kind of person are we looking for?

  • You will demonstrate strong drive and ambition to develop within a business analytics role. Ideally, you will have pursued studies in this field or show a clear willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel and data manipulation
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases
  • Understanding of data validation, cleaning, and quality assurance concepts
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with other departments across the business.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Good organisational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to follow data governance and compliance standards

What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day

  • As the Junior Data Analyst you will monitor, validate, and maintain data accuracy across multiple databases and systems
  • Perform routine data audits, cleansing, and quality checks
  • Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and duplicate records
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and standards
  • Collect, organise, and structure data from various internal and external sources
  • Support data entry integrity by implementing validation procedures
  • Maintain data documentation, dictionaries, and audit trails
  • Assist in preparing basic reports and dashboards
  • Perform exploratory analysis to detect trends or irregularities
  • Support senior analysts with data preparation tasks
  • Recommend improvements to data collection and storage processes
  • Assist in automating data validation workflows where possibleSupport implementation of data governance policies
