Ready for a new challenge?

How does working for a business where over 80% of employees recommend it as a Great Place to Work sound? A business independently accredited as a Great Place to Work, with a high number of “boomerang” employees who choose to come back because the culture, support and opportunity are genuinely there.

At NRG Riverside, we are transforming how our systems, processes, and data enable the business — from depots and drivers to the boardroom. With major investments into our digital systems, this is a pivotal moment to help reimagine how our business operates, serves customers, and grows.

If you’re curious, detail‑driven, and passionate about problem‑solving and continuous improvement, this role will place you at the heart of a strategic journey. This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career who enjoys working with data quality processes, validation checks, and maintaining trustworthy datasets that support business decision‑making. Established in 1996, we support customers to rationalise and decarbonise fleets, reduce costs and minimise Vehicle Off Road (VOR) time. Our reputation is built on operational understanding, reliability and long‑term partnerships.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Basic proficiency in Excel and data manipulation
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases
  • Understanding of data validation, cleaning, and quality assurance concepts
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with other departments across the business.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Good organisational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to follow data governance and compliance standards

What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day

  • As the Junior Data Analyst you will monitor, validate, and maintain data accuracy across multiple databases and systems
  • Perform routine data audits, cleansing, and quality checks
  • Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and duplicate records
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and standards
  • Collect, organise, and structure data from various internal and external sources
  • Support data entry integrity by implementing validation procedures
  • Maintain data documentation, dictionaries, and audit trails
  • Assist in preparing basic reports and dashboards
  • Perform exploratory analysis to detect trends or irregularities
  • Support senior analysts with data preparation tasks
  • Recommend improvements to data collection and storage processes
  • Assist in automating data validation workflows where possibleSupport implementation of data governance policies

This is not just a job — it’s a unique opportunity to join a business mid‑transformation and influence how it works for years to come. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across operations, finance, compliance, technology, and leadership teams, with support to grow into senior roles in business analysis, transformation, or data. At NRG Riverside, we value curiosity, clarity, and collaboration. We believe great ideas come from every level of the business, and we are committed to nurturing talent and building a more intelligent, data‑driven future for our people and customers.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.
