Together, we can make a dent in the universe bigger than ourselves.We are now looking for an IT Manager to join our IT and Security team, managing our Systems Engineering and Identity and Access Management teams. About the RoleAs part of the Security & IT function, this role will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations and management of the IT Engineering and Operations Group. Matillion has a SaaS first approach with a diverse set of technology stacks across multiple pillars. The role holder will be a hands-on technical manager to support our IT team, that can work with our growing teams and estate of services.This role will lead and manage the IT Engineering and Operations team, including technical implementation and changes, policy deployment, strategic planning for the team's people, processes, and technologies as well as taking part in all IT Security exercises and mitigations as necessary.As part of this role, responsibilities will include identifying and monitoring KPI’s and managing SLA’s, working with strategic partners within the business and leadership within IT to help drive implementations for the business, while ensuring a high standard of support is continually maintained.We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role follows our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in the Manchester office. Our core day is Wednesday, and the second day will be determined together. The rest of the week you are welcome to work from the office, or remotely if you’d prefer.

What you'll be doing

You will lead and manage the Identity and Access Management (IAM) and IT Systems Engineering teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. You will also be developing and implementing efficient operational policies and procedures, monitoring KPIs and managing SLAs for high service delivery standards. This role involves a highly collaborative approach with business and IT leadership on strategic initiatives, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Overseeing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Snowflake platform management, you will ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will also lead efforts in tooling, integration, configuration management, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, while participating in IT security exercises and mitigation efforts. As the people leader, you will mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

What we are looking for

Proven experience in IT Engineering, cloud infrastructure management, tooling, integration, and configuration management. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Identity and Access Management (IAM), with strong IT security knowledge. Leadership and team management skills, capable of driving performance and effective collaboration. Strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with experience in SaaS-based organisations. Relevant certifications (AWS, Meraki, Snowflake, Database, Applications) and familiarity with diverse technology stacks and multi-cloud environments.

At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards.
