We are currently seeking an Intermediate Control Systems Engineer to join our team of experienced professionals located at our head office in Kitchener, ON.

Working with other highly motivated Engineers, you will be involved with designing, programming, integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting new and existing automated controls systems.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Control System design
  2. Preparing functional specifications
  3. Electrical Engineering
  4. Assisting with equipment selection
  5. PLC Programming
  6. Design/programming of Human Machines Interfaces (HMI)
  7. Site commissioning and installation support
  8. Troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
  9. Supporting project proposals and estimation
  10. Performing other duties as assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications Required:

  1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  2. Experience leading teams is an asset
  3. Experience designing electrical control systems
  4. Ability to problem solve
  5. Aptitude for Programming ladder logic
  6. Knowledge of PLC platforms (e.g Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens) is an asset
  7. Knowledge of HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g. Ignition, FactoryTalkView, iFix) is an asset
  8. Programming in (C,C#,VBA,SQL, or other languages) is an asset
  9. Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes
  10. Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems design, Automation, Industrial Engineering or College equivalent
  11. Ability to complete all security clearance requirements that may be required for the performance of the work
  12. Willing to travel up to 40% throughout the year

Brock Solutions is seeking intermediate to senior Controls Engineers who have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing and implementing control systems.
