HR Data Analyst - 12 Month Maternity Cover

Location: Hybrid (Head Office, West Bromwich)

Salary: c. £26,000

Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover

Hours: 35 hours per week 09.00 17.00, Monday Friday

The West Brom are looking to recruit a HR Data Analyst on a 12 month Maternity Cover. Reporting into the Reward and Data Analysis Specialist, The HR Data Analyst will produce and maintain people data reports to inform the Human Resource (HR) team and the wider Business. The role will involve related administration and documentation required to up keep HR Information Systems in line with both internal policies and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile people data reports from HR Information Systems by following existing procedures.
  • Manage, cleanse, abstract and aggregate compiled data ready to be shared with the HR team and the wider Business. This will include both regular reporting requirements such as monthly People data reports and ad-hoc report requests to support various business areas.
  • Collaborate with administrative and specialist colleagues to ensure people data is recorded, updated and reported efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Carry out regular accuracy and validity checks on data inputting practices, to ensure accurate, structured and timely data is stored in HR information systems.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes and systems to improve efficiency of delivery and quality of reports.
  • Support various HR projects in analysing and identifying trends in people data to inform business decisions.


The Skills and experience required are:

  • Highly numerate and analytical.
  • Experience in data processing or reporting related work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy is essential for this role.
  • Logical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Power BI (preferable), with capability of manipulating data using a wide range of formulae and functions.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies and industry trends.
