We’re looking for a Head of Engineering / CTIO to join a fast-scaling, mission-led technology business in West Yorkshire. If you’re an experienced Head of Engineering, Software Engineering Manager, Software Development Manager, or emerging CTO, this is your opportunity to level up and lead.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own and drive the technology strategy, aligning closely with product and company vision.
Lead and inspire a cross-functional software engineering team (including PMs and QA), driving quality, velocity, and innovation.
Oversee the technical architecture: C#, .NET, React, Azure, SQL, MongoDB, automation, and AI-driven QA
Guide the deployment and integration of AI/ML tools and Large Language Models to enhance platform intelligence.
Embed modern QA processes, including automation and AI for testing.
Be a visible and confident leader – influencing stakeholders, setting direction, and building culture in a scale-up environment.Your Tech DNA

Background in Microsoft stack – C#, .NET Core, Azure, React, SQL/Mongo (candidates with AWS experience rather than Azure will also be considered)
Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, and data science in production environments.
Familiar with elastic delivery
Familiar with QA processes and test automation strategy.
Still understands the codebase deeply – but doesn’t need to be hands-on daily.Mindset and Experience

Comfortable working in a start-up / scale-up
You're strategic, but grounded – equally comfortable in a boardroom or a technical deep-dive.
Capable of leading an Engineering team comprising Software Engineers, QAs, PM and Data Analysts.
You’re ready to step up: maybe you're a Technical Lead who’s outgrown your current role.
You lead with confidence and clarity – innovative, ambitious, and looking to make a mark.Bonus Points For:

Experience working in regulated, data-sensitive environments.
Previous experience managing remote or hybrid engineering teams.Location & Working Style:
