Head of Software Development Opportunity

As a Head of Development, you'll be the strategic leader driving innovation, scalability, and excellence within the development function. Leading a dynamic team of developers (with 5 direct reports), you'll partner with the Director of Digital Development to elevate the digital strategy, modernise workflows, and integrate AI and machine learning technologies.

In this highly strategic role, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to transform workflows and move beyond basic Kanban to an agile, scalable team structure. This role focuses on influence, collaboration, and growth, rather than hands-on coding; your leadership will guide team strategy, foster innovation, and drive alignment across projects and departments.

Key skills..

• Strong knowledge of Cloud SaaS, PaaS, IaaS & MS SQL
• Strong expertise in Continuous Integration & Deployment tools
• Excellent knowledge in source control systems
• Strong people leader to inspire, motivate & contribute to a high performing culture.
• Track record of implementing innovative solutions
