Aventis is delighted to be working with a leading data-driven firm looking to advance their new strategy for data & AI-driven transformation. We are seeking an experienced data management leader to join the fledgling data innovation team and play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge AI solutions internally.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic professional to create deliver AI, analytics and data systems that drive real business value and make a tangible impact.

Location:Remote-based with London HQ (flexible hybrid working model)

Future Outlook:Potential for a promotion to a Deputy CDO-level role & opportunities to lead AI initiatives.

Key Skills, Attributes, and Technologies Desired:

  • Data Acumen:Demonstrated experience in data leadership roles, with a strong foundation in data governance, data management, and data operations.
  • Technical Proficiency:Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Data Mastery:Expertise in big data tools and broad understanding of LLM applications.
  • Leadership Excellence:Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, inspire innovation, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic Thinking:A track record of aligning data initiatives with wider organisational goals, driving measurable commercial value.
  • Ethical Awareness:A general understanding of ethical AI principles and familiarity with regulations such as GDPR and other international AI standards.
  • Visionary Approach:A passion for innovation and a keen interest in emerging fields like generative AI, reinforcement learning, and autonomous systems.
  • Industry Knowledge:Experience in industries such as finance, insurance, banking, or enterprise solutions, with an understanding of how data drives transformation in these spaces.
