We are looking for a Head of Compliance to join the team, reporting into the Director of Compliance.

What youll be doing

We are looking for someone to manage the daily operations of the compliance function to manage and monitor regulatory compliance across the organisation.

You will directly manage 4 people and will also manage the following:

  • Provision of timely advice to the business on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Establish, review and maintain appropriate systems necessary for ensuring Group regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure appropriate internal oversight is established in accordance with FCA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Be the liaison point with regulators during the absence of the Risk & Compliance Director, ensuring the Senior Management are informed of any key action required.
  • Support reporting and management information for the Executive Team, Audit & Risk Committee and senior managers.
  • Provide support to DPO and legal team in monitoring compliance with GDPR-related privacy regulations and national data protection laws.
  • Manage business compliance updates in accordance with changes in regulations.
  • Manage authorisations with the FCA.
  • Support the Risk & Compliance Director in managing awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements and the role and requirements of the compliance function.
  • Deliver changes to risk or regulatory compliance framework in line with updates.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Provision of effective and timely advice to the business on compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Significant experience of the practical implementation of regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the FCA handbook, especially in the areas of complaints, financial promotions and conduct of business.
  • Experience of managing complex compliance cases.
