Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Data Engineer to join our team. As a Graduate Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our data engineering team, working on a variety of projects that involve data collection, transformation, and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kick-start their career in data engineering within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Work with large datasets to extract, clean, and transform data for analysis and reporting.
Contribute to the development and optimization of data storage solutions, including databases and data warehouses.
Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure data integrity and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support to end-users.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities.
Qualifications:
A recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
Familiarity with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) is a plus.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data warehousing concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
