Launched in 2021,Bolt6is an Emmy award-winning start-updedicated to improving the experience of sport for everyone. Our products help to improve fan engagement, officiating acceptance, and drive commercial performance for sports leagues and federations.

We use cutting-edge technology to do a variety of amazing things with cameras and other data sources (all in real-time on site or in the cloud), including:

  • Tracking the 3D position of vehicles in elite motorsport (e.g. NASCAR)
  • Ball and skeletal player tracking of athletes in a number of top level sports
  • Electronic line calling in tennis and volleyball
  • Providing the platform for sports federations to make critical officiating decisions using video and tracking data

Role Requirements

We are searching for motivated, driven and proactive individuals, who will develop and innovate. We are looking for someone who will be responsible fordeveloping our data creation and collection technology. The role will provide you will a high level of autonomy and project ownership.

What you will do as a Graduate Computer Vision Engineer (C++) at Bolt6:

  • Develop and maintain real-time ball and player tracking software specifically for providing data to third parties
  • Develop C++ applications for visualising and analysing tracking data for coaching and broadcast purposes
  • Design intuitive and easy to use user interfaces

What we are looking for:

Required attributes:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience programming in C++
  • Understanding of 3D Linear Algebra for Computer Vision
  • Proficient using Git version control
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in solving non-linear least square problems
  • Experience with Computer Vision
  • Experience in UI development e.g. ImGui
  • Understanding of multithreading techniques
  • Experience with GPU programming e.g. CUDA
  • Experience with a messaging framework, e.g. NATS, RabbitMQ
  • Experience working in and configuring cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience working with software containers (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm

  • Flexible self starter with initiative and the ability to pick up and develop projects independently
  • Intellectually curious and driven to ask the right questions in order to get to the bottom of complex issues
  • The ability to quickly grasp complex issues
  • The ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines whilst remaining organised
